My Sister’s Closet Boutique at
Shawnee State University raises money for Mobile Health Unit
For the second year, Shawnee State University faculty and
staff will be donating clothes for the Mobile Health Unit
that provides health screenings and health education
throughout the community.
This year, My Sister’s Closet Boutique is open to the
public. Gently used clothing, jewelry, purses and shoes will
be accepted, as well as new clothing, at the Teaching and
Learning Center Conference Room, 019A, near the back
entrance to Massie Hall.
Parking for the public is available behind Massie Hall near
the back entrance where the office of University Outreach
Services also is located. The boutique will be open from 9
a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 1.
“Everyone has items they no longer wear but are in good
shape,” said Mistie Spicer, assistant to SSU President Rita
Rice Morris. “This is an excellent way to boost your
wardrobe, same money at the same time and support a
wonderful cause.”
All unsold clothing will be donated to the Pike County
Domestic Violence Shelter.
