David Ferrell named
the 2008-09 Dr. J.R. Boynton Scholarship
recipient at Shawnee State University
Shawnee State University Scholarship Committee
awarded David Ferrell the 2008-09 Dr. J.R.
Boynton Scholarship of $800.
The recipient
of this scholarship must be a college sophomore,
junior or senior who is a resident of Scioto
County, have a 3.25 GPA and enrolled in a
four-year degree program.
Ferrell, son
of David and Sally Ferrell, is a 2006 graduate
of Notre Dame High School and a returning SSU
student. He was a member of the National Honor
Society, Quiz Bowl, Mock Trial, Ohio Model
United Nations and Student Council in high
school. Ferrell is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma
National Honor Society, tutor and note taker at
SSU. He is a psychology major and wants to go on
to law school to study medical malpractice law.
The funds of
the Dr. J.R. Boynton Scholarship are
administered through the SSU Development
Foundation. Individuals and organizations
