Karen Cooper named the 2008-09 recipient of the
Educational Talent Search Scholarship at Shawnee State
University
The Shawnee State University Scholarship Committee has
announced Karen Cooper as the 2008-09 Educational Talent
Search Scholarship recipient of $3,000.
Applicants of the scholarship must be from a high school
in Pike, Lawrence or Scioto County Educational Talent
Search program with a minimum 3.0 GPA and an ACT
composite of 18. Extracurricular activities and
community involvement are taken into consideration.
Applicants must complete the FAFSA.
Cooper, daughter of Jeff and Cheryl Cooper, is a 2008
graduate of South Webster High School. She was a member
of the National Honor Society and Spanish club in high
school. Cooper is an undecided major but hopes to decide
on the right career path while attending SSU.
The funds of this scholarship are administered by the
SSU Development Foundation. Individuals or organizations
interested in establishing a scholarship can contact the
