Latesha Collins named recipient of the Big Sandy
Superstore VanHoose Stewart Foundation Scholarship at
Shawnee State University
The Shawnee State University Scholarship Committee has
announced Latesha Collins as the 2008-09 Big Sandy
Superstore VanHoose Stewart Foundation Scholarship
recipient of $2,000.
Applicants must be a current employee or a spouse and/or
dependent of a current employee who has completed one
year or 1,000 hours of employment at Big Sandy Furniture
or one of its affiliates.
Collins, daughter of Angel Farmer and John Collins, is a
2008 graduate of Russell Independent High School. She
was involved in Drama Club and youth group while working
at Fashion Bug in high school. Collins is a nursing
major and wants to work in the emergency care section at
SOMC after graduating from SSU.
The funds of this scholarship are administered by the
SSU Development Foundation. Individuals or organizations
interested in establishing a scholarship can contact the
