(Kali Lucas brings her passion of wanting to
help students prosper as a residence
coordinator at Shawnee State University)
Shawnee State University has hired Kali
Lucas as a new residence coordinator.
Lucas received her bachelor’s degree in
biology from Adrian College in Adrian,
Michigan and went on to obtain her master’s
degree in higher education student affairs
administration from Baylor University in
Waco, Texas.
“Although my bachelor’s degree was in
biology, I felt that I needed to pursue
something else and I knew I enjoyed being an
resident advisor, orientation leader and
being involved with the students so I
decided to pursue my master’s degree in
student affairs,” Lucas said.
Lucas’ job will be supervising the resident
advisor staff. She will be involved in the
selection, training and evaluation of the RA
staff. Lucas will also be the 24-hour
administrative contact person in case of
emergency.
“I’m looking forward to interacting with not
only the RA staff but the students as well
and being able to help them in any way I
can,” Lucas said.
Lucas is originally from Genoa, Ohio.
