Veterans Recognized at Shawnee State University

            American Legion Post 363, of Lucasville, was the Honor Guard at the 17th Annual Veteran’s Recognition Ceremony at Shawnee State University on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The Recognition Ceremony was presented from noon to 12:30 p.m. with Master of Ceremonies Sam McKibben, WNXT Radio announcer, retired veteran and member of the Ohio Military Reserve. SSU Provost David Todt presented the opening welcome and Colonel John Harris, deputy chief of Staff Personnel, Ohio Army National Guard, was the guest speaker. SSU student Rick Bender sang the “Star Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful.” Rev. Stan Webster offered a prayer and moment of silence.
