            The Shawnee 7.0 Conference “Capturing Imagination” Conference was held on Friday, Oct. 30 at Shawnee State University with students from high schools and universities exhibiting gaming programs they developed and prizes were given to the top three exhibits in each category.
            The first place winners received a 32 GB iPod Touch; second place winners received a Wacom Bamboo Pen and Touch tablet; and third place winners received a 3DConnexion SpaceNavigator PE 3D mouse. There were no third place winners for high school participants.
            The winners for the high schools were as follows:
            First Place – Scioto County Career Technical Center students Trista Dever, Sean Blevins, Zane Conley and Thomas Jones.
            Second Place – Indian Valley High School students Brandon Fouts and Seth Moore and Claymont High School students Kim Napier and Cory Schwendiman.
            The winners for career centers and universities were as follows:
            First Place – Shawnee State University students Daniel Morrison, Sam Bushman, William Maynard and Darrell Cardwell.
            Second Place – Washington State Career Center students Roy Dearstine, Christian Ulman, Marshall Havens and Seth Ward.
            Third Place – Shawnee State University student Brandon Brown.
