Students Explore Careers in Chemistry at Shawnee State University

            Sixth-grade students in Scioto County interested in learning about chemistry and experimenting with chemistry attended Careers in Chemistry at Shawnee State University on Saturday, Oct. 23. The program began with guest speakers in the morning and participants explored the chemistry lab focusing on experiments that are used in the movies in special effects, such as making paper that looks ancient, making disappearing ink and artificial fog among other things.
