Shawnee State University Offers Computer and Business Training Opportunities Courses

Shawnee State University will be offering computer and business training opportunities courses from the Ohio State University South Centers.

A Social Media course will be offered on Oct. 12 from 9 a.m. until noon. This course will cover a brief overview of the popular social media web sites. Students will learn how to sign up for social networks such as Facebook, Twitter and Linkedln.

Photo Basics is a workshop that will be offered on Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. until noon. It will feature simple and low cost methods on editing, sharing and printing photos. Students will learn how to crop, resize and add features to photos.

Intermediate Photos is a workshop that will be offered on Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. until noon. In this workshop students will learn different photo editing techniques such as photo design techniques, backgrounds, photo retouching, and adding images to photos on a more advanced level.

Keeping Connected using Skype will be offered on Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. until noon. In this course students will learn the basics of video conferencing, calling other users, and sharing files at lightning speed.

Endless Options with Google will be offered on Nov. 9 from 9 a.m. until noon. In this course students will be given an overview of all the extras on Google such as gmail, docs, sites, calendar and analytics.
