The McElhaney Honors Scholarship awarded to
Misty Gibbs and Michael Meadows at Shawnee State University
Gibbs, daughter of Rick and Jill Gibbs, of Worthington,
Ohio, in Franklin County, is a 2007 graduate of Thomas
Worthington High School and a returning SSU student. In high
school she was a member of the field hockey and girl’s
lacrosse team. She is pursuing a degree in fine arts in
digital design and interactive multimedia and is interested
in using these computer skills to go into marketing.
Meadows, son of Larry and Han Meadows, of Rockbridge, Ohio,
in Hocking County, is a 2009 graduate of Logan High School
and has recently entered his Freshman year at SSU. In high
school he was a member of All-Academic Award, National Honor
Society, soccer and intramural basketball. He is interested
in pursuing a career as a physical therapist or in business.
The funds of this scholarship are administered by the SSU
Development Foundation. Individuals or organizations
