Area Businesses offer special discounts to SSU students

To welcome students to the area, Main Street Portsmouth and many local businesses are offering special student discounts and incentives during a 10-day event from Tuesday, Aug. 30 through Friday, Sept. 9.

Students will also be eligible to win a $500 shopping spree by completing a flyer entry form with the signatures of five participating businesses they have visited during the 10-day period.

Participating businesses are Alterations and More, American Savings Bank,  Canal Society, Charter One Bank, CSC Cleaning Supplies Company, CVS, Ghosts in the Attic, Goodwill Book Store, Hopeworks, Kroger, LaRosa's, Market Street Café, Market Street Hardware, Port City Café, Portsmouth Brewing Company, RAX, Remember When Antiques, Staker's Drugs, The Ribber, Tiffany's Antiques, Vanity Hair, and the Zen Den.
