                The Smith Coffee House in the University Center at Shawnee State University was dedicated on Wednesday, Aug. 11 in honor of SSU’s generous SSU supporters Bob and Regina Smith. He is president of American Savings Bank and a member of the Shawnee State University Development Foundation Board.
Smith and his wife, Regina, have made significant gifts to the University both in the form of financial contributions and time invested in Shawnee State activities. Both were instrumental in the success of the university’s recent Poised for Tomorrow campaign that raised more than $16 million dollars for SSU scholarships, facilities, projects and programming. The Smith Coffee House, part of the newly expanded University Center in the heart of campus, is open to serve both campus and the public through a variety of coffees, breakfast, and lunch offered by the adjacent Jazzman’s Café and Bakery franchise.
