International Students from 13 Countries Attend Shawnee State University
Students have arrived from 13 countries for Fall Semester at
Shawnee State University. Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Italy,
Krygzstan, Morocco, Pakistan, Romania, Spain, Taiwan,
Tajikistan, Tunisia and the Ukraine are represented. A
record 30 international students started classes on Monday,
Aug. 16. SSU’s Center for International Programs and
Activities works with the students by fostering and
promoting international understanding and global perspective
to the university community and the region served by Shawnee
State. Rita Haider, CIPA director, coordinates campus
services and programming for the students, among other
services to help them while they are in this country. Local
host families also are helping the students. |
