            Barbara Bradbury, Ph.D., director of Financial Aid at Shawnee State University, presented senior sociology major Lilly Elliott with an AAUW scholarship for $1,000 on Thursday, Aug. 5. The scholarship is for non-traditional female students.
            Since 1881, AAUW (formerly known as the American Association of University Women) has been the nation’s leading voice promoting education and equity for women and girls. The organization has a nationwide network of nearly 100,000 members, 1,000 branches, and 500 college/university institution partners. AAUW helps breaks through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance.
