Portions of Third and Fourth Streets will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 18 to allow more than 630 new residential students to move in to University Housing at Shawnee State University.
Third Street will be closed from the corner of Third and Gay Street to Third and Waller Street. Fourth Street will be closed from the corner of Fourth and Sinton Street to Fourth and Waller Street.
Officers from the Shawnee State University Department of Public Safety and the Portsmouth Police Department will be assisting with traffic.
Returning students will move in to housing on Sunday, August 21. No streets will be closed on that day.
