Students from Three Counties Participate in Ohio
Tech Prep Showcase
The Ohio South Consortium assembled at the James A. Rhodes
Athletic Center on the campus of Shawnee State University to
participate in the 2010 Tech Prep Showcase on Friday, April
23 with 94 students participating.
Students from Lawrence, Pike and Scioto counties
demonstrated their projects for the event with 27 judges
reviewing and evaluating them. Certificates, medals and
prizes were presented to the teams awarded with the highest
merits of their projects.
Students with superior ratings are listed by category with
the titles of their projects.
Health Sciences: Jasmine Hayes, Collins Career Center,
Infection Control; Destine Hogsten, Collins Career Center,
SIDS; Brittany Donahoe and Whitney Massie, Collins Career
Center, Autism; Marea Evans, Collins Career Center,
Childhood Apraxia; Sarah Stamper, Collins Career Center,
Cystic Fibrosis.
Teaching Profession: Tiffany Sites, Ashley Jenkins and Magen
Blake, Chesapeake High School, Challenges of Autistic
Students.
Business and Administrative Service: Corey Clark and Taylor
Leslie, Pike County CTC, Tourism Promotion.
Law and Public Safety: Kyle Stamper, Collins Career Center,
Blood Splatter; Autumn Markel, Collins Career Center,
Entomology.
Engineering Technologies: Bradley Craft, Bradley Sanders and
Phillip Levi Crank II, Green High School, Robo Pro/Fischer
Tecniks.
Hospitality and Tourism: Matt Hackworth and Katie Jewell,
South Point High School, South Point Cakery; Chelsea Adkins
and Whitley Sizemore, South Point High School, Rolling in
the Dough.
Information Technology: Zane Conley, Thomas Jones and Mark
Strickland, Scioto County CTC, 3D Breakout; Cole Sizemore
and Deanna Maggart, Pike County CTC, unnamed project.
Students who received a superior rating for their projects
were eligible to participate in a drawing for a new iPod
Touch, sponsored by Ohio Tech Prep South consortium and
Wired. The winners were Kyle Stamper, Collins Career Center;
Marea Evans, Collins Career Center; Tiffany Sites,
Chesapeake High School; Taylor Leslie, Pike County CTC;
Quintin Casper, Scioto County CTC; and Deanna Maggart, Pike
County CTC.
Students from Scioto, Lawrence and Pike counties
participated in the Ohio South Tech Prep Showcase on Friday,
April 23. Students who received a superior rating were
eligible for a drawing to win an iPod Touch. The winners of
the iPod Touch were front row, from left, Marea Evans,

and Tiffany Sites, Chesapeake High School. In the back row,
