Kente Cloths presented to Shawnee State University graduates

The annual Kente Cloth Ceremony was held at Shawnee State University in the University Center's Sodexo Ballroom on Thursday, April 21 when the colorful Kente Cloths were presented to spring graduates as a symbol of success and completion of academic studies.
Matt Matthews, coordinator of Multicultural Affairs, presented the Kente cloths to honor culturally diverse and international graduates at SSU. In the photo are front row, from left, Sydnee Jordan, Gerrika Fizer, Britnee Bankston, Stephanie Taylor and Matthews. In the back row, from left, are Emmanuel D. Connally, De Andre Florence, Charlie Sweatt and Velma Brehm. Students who received awards but not in the photo are Lance Richardson, Xiomara Rosado, Jason Hinkle, Robert Kopp, Arion Smith, Megan Villegas, Bryan Henderson and Ivy Burnette.
