The 2010-11 Michael Hairston Scholarship for $1,000 has been awarded to Portsmouth High School graduating senior Kayla Barker. The scholarship is awarded to a Portsmouth High School graduating senior pursuing a bachelor degree in visual arts.
Gary and Marilyn Hairston established this scholarship in memory of their son.
