SSU's Clark Memorial Library Plans National Library Week Activities

April. 6, 2012

In observance of National Library Week, SSU's Clark Memorial Library is sponsoring several lunch time workshops Monday, April 9 through Thursday, April 12 at noon each day. This year's theme is "To Create Your Own Story."

"The week is an opportunity to promote the fun stuff at the library and the very interesting data bases we have in our library that people may not know about," said Ann Marie Short, associate library director for Public Services.

One of those data bases is Ancestry.com. This data base will be the focus of the Monday, April 9 workshop. Web of Knowledge will be featured on Tuesday, April 10, Mango Languages on Wednesday, April 11, and Learning Express on Thursday, April 12. All of the workshops will be in the Library Alcove.

Short said the workshops are free and open to faculty, staff and students. Refreshments will be available. Those who participate will have an opportunity to win a gift certificate from Jazzman's.
