Administrative professionals are usually the backbone of the organization and one day each year is set aside to honor the people who make up this valuable profession to help them in their careers.
Shawnee State University carries on this tradition offering administrative professionals an opportunity to take a break from the regular routine on Administrative Professionals Day, Thursday, April 28 for this all day event.
Check in begins at 8:15 a.m. with refreshments and the first guest speaker will begin at 8:45 a.m. Kay Frances, a professional stand-up comedian, shares her expertise in stress management with "The Funny Thing About Stress." She not only offers vital information, but shows people a good time in the process.
Gary Griesser, a motivational speaker, will present "Even Eagles Need a Push." He will focus on some of the changes in the workplace that place additional demands on time and knowledge. Griesser will provide participants with coping skills to help them keep safe distances between work and home.
