Shawnee State University is offering a Rehab Toolkit Workshop hosted by Southern Ohio Medical Center. The workshop will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, at the SOMC Friends Community Center.
Both Ohio and Kentucky physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists and occupational therapist assistants will benefit from the workshop with up to seven contact hours.
There are two all-day sessions including "Subgrouping and Intervention of Low Back Pain: A Comprehensive Approach" for seven contact hours and "Sensational Learning: Supporting Children with Dyspraxia and Sensory Modulation Difficulties" for six contact hours. Terrence B. Welsh, M.D. will give keynote address, "What's All the Fuss About Pain?" which is one contact hour.
Registration for the workshop is $99 for the general public. The fee for SOMC employees is $49 and the fee for SSU students is $20. Lunch will be provided.
