Police Officer Sworn In at Shawnee State University

Shane Hatfield is the newest addition to the Department of Public Safety at Shawnee State University. Hatfield is a 1993 graduate of Minford High School, former Marine, and previously a patrol officer at the Portsmouth Police Department and a graduate of the Ohio Highway Patrol Academy. He is also a staff sergeant in the Ohio Army National Guard. He and his wife Michelle have four children, Brayden, 13, Tanner, 10, Sadie, 6 and Zavier, 8 months. Hatfield is the son of Dennis and Michele Hatfield, of Portsmouth.
