Black History Month begins at Shawnee State University

Comedian Leroy "Hypnobro" Williams kicked off Black History Month at Shawnee State University Thursday night, Feb. 9, at the Vern Riffe Center for the Arts. His comedy act included hypnotizing people from the audience. A Gospel Fest is planned from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20 in the Flohr Lecture in the Clark Memorial Library and a jazz musician, Galen, an extraordinary flutist, will be performing from noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 23 in the East Lobby of the University Center. All events are free and open to the public.
