Neil Simon's classic comedy, "Barefoot in the Park," will be the production for this year's Valentine Dinner Theatre at Shawnee State University.
"Barefoot in the Park" is the comedic account of Paul and Corey Bratter, a newlywed couple who begin to realize that they didn't know each other as well as they thought.
Paul is afraid his young wife may be a bit too free-spirited, as Corey fears that her new husband may be about as fun as a root canal. Can the two sort out their differences? Can their young love conquer their many quirky differences?
Valentine Dinner Theatre performances will be on Feb. 11 and Feb. 14, with dinner being served at 6:00 p.m. in Howland Recital Hall and the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Kahl Studio Theater.
Regular performances without dinner will be held on Feb. 10, 16, 17, 18, in the Kahl Studio Theatre at 7:30 p.m.
Advanced reservations are required for the dinner theater through the McKinley Box office. The show is $25.00 per person with dinner and $8.00 per person without dinner. For more information, call the Box Office at (740) 351-3600.
