Meet the new Writer of Promise at Shawnee State University

The third annual Shawnee State University "Intro" Series Reading with the student Writer of Promise, Christina Jones, will be presented at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at SSU's Clark Memorial Library Alcove.

Neil Carpathios, assistant professor in the Department of English and Humanities, will introduce Jones who has been named the "Writer of Promise" this year. She will be reading from her own collection of works at the event. Lori McNelly, a recent SSU graduate, will also be reading.

"Come and meet a talented student writer, perhaps a future author of note," Carpathios said.

The event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
