MEDIA ADVISORY Contact: To news directors, editors, reporters, and photographers: What: Shawnee State University’s District 14 Science Day Why: An annual event that serves grades five through 12 from Adams, Lawrence, Pike, and Scioto county schools. Approximately 300 students will bring science research projects to compete in various categories vying for an opportunity to compete at the state competition. District 14 is one of 16 districts established under the Ohio Junior Academy of Science to coordinate regional science fairs to select projects qualified to compete at the state level. Generally, 40 to 45 students are selected from District 14 to compete at the state level. When: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 20 Where: SSU campus--Massie Hall, Advanced Technology Center, and the James A. Rhodes Athletic Center.
