MEDIA ADVISORY Contact:
To
news directors, editors, producers, and reporters:
On
Wednesday evening, Feb. 6, the History 399 class, “The 1960s,”
taught by Jerry Holt, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts and
Sciences at Shawnee State University, will welcome a very special
guest, Keith Newman, host of public radio's "Below The
Salt," to the SSU campus.
Newman
has created a real treat for the class; he'll be lecturing on the
historical/sociological significance of the music of that decade,
and he has a real sound extravaganza to go along with his comments.
Members
of the media and local and regional communities are invited to
attend. Newman's "Magic Carpet Ride" musical tour of the
1960s will begin at 6 p.m. and take place in Clark Memorial Library
Room 205.
This
will make for a great article or news story.
Call the SSU Office of Communications for more information. # #
