SSU Women’s Forum hosting Kathleen DeBoer

            Kathleen DeBoer will present a free lecture, “Gender and Competition: How Men and Women Approach the World of Work and Play,” on May 12 at Shawnee State University (SSU) at 7 p.m. in the Flohr Lecture Hall in the SSU Clark Memorial Library. The public is invited to attend.

            Deboer, commissioner for General Services for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County government, spent 13 years coaching volleyball, with nine of those at the University of Kentucky, and also worked a total of 23 years in intercollegiate athletics serving as a coach, administrator, and fundraiser. She is the author of the book Gender and Competition: How Men and Women Approach Work and Play Differently.
