^{SSU's 11th Annual Tribute to Area Veterans Nov. 12

           To honor those men and women who have served in the U.S. military, Shawnee State University will hold its annual tribute to veterans on Nov. 12 on the SSU campus. 

           The tribute will begin at 10 a.m. and end at 2 p.m.  There will be displays exhibiting military memorabilia, historical U.S. flags, and recruiters from all branches of the U.S. military.  Exhibits will include a Huey helicopter,  216th Combat Engineer Battalion equipment, Ohio Army National Guard customized Humvee and a rock climbing wall.  Rita Rice Morris, Ph.D., president of SSU, will be presenting a plaque to those SSU students who served in the war in Iraq.  The event will be concluded by a parachute demonstration by McCowan Airshows.
