2005 President’s Gala to be held May 22

            The 17^th annual Shawnee State University President’s Gala will be held on Saturday, May 21.
            The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the University Center, with hors d’oeuvres, dinner and cocktails.  Dessert will be served at 8 p.m. in the Selby Lobby of the Verne Riffe Center for the Arts (VRCFA), followed by a Talent Showcase in the Main Theater, featuring acts by the Cirque d’Art Theater troupe, SSU faculty and staff members, an SSU theater class, SSU Cheerleaders, and an SSU music class led by local resident Linda Teeman.  All proceeds from the gala will be used to support undergraduate research.
            Tickets are $100 per person, for the entire evening of events, or $15 per person for the dessert and talent showcase only.  To make reservations call (740) 351-3284.
