Almost 50 years to the day since the United States Supreme Court ruled on Brown v. Topeka, Board of Education in a landmark decision, Shawnee State University (SSU) will host a lecture in celebration of the event.

            “A Mixed Legacy of Brown v. Board,” will be held on May 5 at 6 p.m., in room 205 of the Clark Memorial Library at SSU.

            Presented by Kevin Boyle, Ph.D., a professor from the Ohio State University, the presentation will focus on the effectiveness of the ruling over the last 50 years.
