Lecture Celebrates Industrial Past As part of a yearlong celebration of the Ohio Bicentennial, Shawnee State University will present, “The Industrial Archeology of the Ohio River Valley (1750-1870),” a lecture highlighting the significant contributions of the Ohio River Valley to the industrial growth of the United States presented by Carl Hilgarth, M.S., chair of SSU’s department of industrial and engineering technology and associate professor of computer engineering technology. The lecture, open to the public free of charge, will be held in the Flohr Lecture Hall in the SSU Clark Memorial Library, on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 7 p.m. It will also be at the Portsmouth Public Library at 2 p.m. on the same day.
