Annual Spring Bear Run May 8 at SSU

           The spring Shawnee State University Bear Run/Walk 5K Road Race will be held May 8.  The 3.1-mile course begins on Shawnee State University's campus and travels down historic Front Street by Portsmouth’s popular floodwall murals.

           The race begins at 6 p.m. and the results are available around 7 p.m. Over 140 medals are awarded.  The Bear Run is free to all Golden Bears, students (from kindergarten up) and their families, and to all SSU alumni and their families, with a $10 fee to non-students or $12 for race-day registration, beginning at 4.30 p.m.
