Is community service a graduation requirement?

Some programs do require community service to graduate, but others do not. Be sure to check with your academic advisor. Regardless of whether volunteer work is required for your degree of choice, it looks fantastic on a resume and can set you apart from other applicants when you are applying for jobs.

I have to do community service for a class, but don't know where to go. Where can I go for help?

How often should I volunteer?

While some students may choose to volunteer weekly, others only volunteer once a month. How often you volunteer is completely up to you and your schedule, but to get the most out of your volunteer experience, you should volunteer a couple hours a week.
