Elite Medical Scribes

Are you interested in pursuing a career as a health care provider? Working as a medical scribe provides a firsthand opportunity to work with a physician in the medical field. We are currently seeking college students or recent graduates in your area who have future aspirations to enter the medical field. While employed as a medical scribe, you will be working with a team of physicians to expedite patient care. The scribe is responsible for accompanying the physician during the examination and transcribing the patient’s history and physical exam. Scribes gain valuable experience working in a medical setting which will benefit them in their future career as a health care provider.

We have both part-time openings (approximately 20 hours/week) and full-time openings (approximately 36-40 hours/week) available in an emergency room in Huntington, West Virginia. Starting wage is $9.00/hour.

Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, will have a mastery of the English language, excellent verbal/written communication, and strong observation and listening skills. All applicants must plan to pursue a future career as a health care provider such as a PA, NP, MD, or DO and either be in the process of or have completed the prerequisite coursework. Applicant’s majors may be from a broad range including biology and chemistry. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Position Summary
This position reports to the Director of Communications & Marketing and will support efforts to promote the organization through the development, design, and production of visual marketing initiatives across multiple platforms. Through the creation and execution of a unique and market appropriate design palette the incumbent will work to strengthen the ISEP brand and enhance external recognition of ISEP's core values and mission. The incumbent will also be charged with engaging ISEP's social media community and leveraging new technologies to promote organizational objectives.

Principal Accountabilities
Publications and Branding
Objective: Produce and maintain a set of creative materials to promote and enhance ISEP visibility and mission.


Develop compelling print and online collateral that is consistent with ISEP brand guidelines.
Manage the design, production and printing of ISEP annual catalogs and other promotional materials for external publication.
Effectively communicate ISEP brand design imperatives to outside consultants (website developers, publishers, etc.) and manage workflow of printing projects, including monitoring budgets, soliciting bids, maintaining a production schedule, and selecting print/paper/imaging.
Assist the Communications and Marketing Coordinator with the development and design of marketing presentations and email marketing templates.
Share innovation and insights on current trends in print & digital design with colleagues.
Through research and collaboration, evaluate effectiveness of promotional materials and incorporate changes as they relate to design.
Coordinate preparation of promotional materials for staff site visits, ISEP events, and study abroad fairs.
Oversee mailings, lists and collateral inventory.
Design special projects as needed.

ISEP Website and Social Media
Objective: Support student outreach initiatives by incorporating the use of new technologies.


Support the implementation of a social media strategy to increase visibility, membership and traffic (including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube, etc.). Recommend new social media tools, sites, and apps to strengthen ISEP's social media portfolio and efficacy of outreach.
Work closely with the Webmaster and Communications and Marketing Coordinator to design and implement web-based resources. Leverage tools for measuring the impact of social media on overall marketing efforts and report results to the Director of Communications and Marketing.
Establish new and maintain existing social media relationships by proactively engaging in discussions surrounding ISEP's mission, programs, and brand. Assist in developing a promotional calendar to keep all social media accounts up to date.
Execute social media marketing campaigns including community-building efforts and ISEP site promotions.
Work closely with the Webmaster and Communications and Marketing Coordinator to design and implement web-based resources. Monitor web traffic to ensure ISEP is fully leveraging technology for maximum impact/results.
Manage student Photo Essay Contest and its integration with web resources and new media.
Oversee the ISEP Ambassador program including training and implementing new strategies for outreach.
Assist with special projects as needed.

Requirements

Education:

BA/BS degree in graphic design/marketing or related field.

Experience:
2-4 years work experience with Adobe CS3, InDesign, Photoshop, MS Office Suite and video editing software.
2-4 years experience developing and managing publication projects
1-2 years managing social media outlets
Demonstrated creativity in marketing/communication/design initiatives.

Skills:
Impeccable attention to detail and ability to multi task.
Able to work independently and take initiative.
Able to be a team player and work interdepartmentally.
Strong conceptual and visually interpretive skills coupled with a strong interest in all aspects of design; brand identity, interactive applications, web video, etc.
Preferre
Experience working with print and shipping vendors and ability to maintain a budget.
