Auditor Career Intern - Full-time Auditor Career Intern program positions are available in the Defense Contract Audit Agency. The main office is in Dayton, Ohio, but the majority of the work is in the Piketon, Ohio area. The basic requirements for an auditor position with us is a bachelor's degree, at least 24 semester hours of accounting, and an overall GPA of 2.95 and US Citizenship. Federal Affairs Internship - The incumbent in this position will work on federal policy issues and legislation, and provide research and other support to the federal policy team and grass-roots advocates. Our team works on a wide range of issues, including expanding access to treatment, children's mental health, mental health parity, and Medicaid financing of mental health services. Mental Health America, the country’s leading nonprofit dedicated to helping all people live mentally healthier lives, seeks one to two motivated graduate students for summer and fall internships within the Healthcare Reform Department. The internship offers the right candidates an outstanding opportunity to work in a fast paced environment that positively impacts the lives of individuals with mental health conditions. As states continue to serve as the center of health policy innovation, the Healthcare Reform Department supports local and state advocates in identifying and responding to health policy trends. Through powerful and effective advocacy, Mental Health America and its affiliates partner with policy makers to achieve significant change in the health care system and to ensure the rights of those with mental health conditions. Top issues include Medicaid, health insurance reform, peer support services, prevention and early intervention, and evidence-based healthcare. Internship duties and responsibilities: The internship provides research opportunities and practical, hands-on experience to students pursuing a greater understanding of state health policy. Interns will be responsible for tracking state legislation, conducting policy research for state strategy meetings, the development of policy education materials, and working with staff to provide technical assistance to state and local advocates.  Interns are expected to work a minimum of 10 hours/week. Applicant Criteria: Candidates should be enthusiastic, mature, and have knowledge of health policy. Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work within a team and independently are very important.  Research and computer skills, including proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Internet research tools are required.
