Middle Management -Scioto Residential Services, Inc. currently has an evening Support Manager (SM) position available.  SM’s supervise the day-to-day operations of our residential sites.  SRS is a not-for-profit company in the Portsmouth area that provides residential services to clients with developmental disabilities.  The SM educates and advises the direct service staff members as well as ensures completion of service delivery and supports to our clients.  Requirements include management experience, preferably in the MR/DD field, ability to provide supervision and promote a team approach, ability to handle stressful situations, a valid driver’s license, ability to obtain and maintain certification as instructor of American Red Cross Standard First Aid and CPR.  This position is salary exempt from overtime pay. Process Engineer – Plastic Injection Molding- On-line job posting:  www.toro.jobs. Provides work direction and supervision of the hourly Quality Technicians on all three work shifts. Trains and evaluates new personnel in accordance with established department policy. Handles employee discipline, grievances, pay rate adjustments and other company policy and contract agreements. Plans shift personnel needs based on production schedules.  Makes daily checks of the labor reports to verify accuracy. May supervise production shifts on occasion. Process Implementation: Designs, implements and documents process methods regarding all phases of our Plastic Injection Molding operation. Responsible for proper ergonomic work station set-up of tooling and equipment. Monitors current machine processes, analyses and adjusts to stay within required parameters to produce consistent quality parts to efficiency standards.  Works closely with T&D, maintenance, QC, and production to troubleshoot process, equipment, or tooling problems. Existing Tool and Equipment Management: Monitor existing tool and fixturing conditions; schedule preventative maintenance whether it is in-house or sourced out with a supplier. Responsible for stocking all items necessary to operate the tooling and specialty equipment efficiently. Recommend capital equipment and prepare capital expenditure requisitions and justifications related to maintenance or replacement. Responsible for ECMs and other tool changes from scheduling of work, through COC completion. Project and maintain an operating budget for the above activities. New Tooling and Projects:  Manages new tooling projects from product conception through COC approval and part qualification. Be an active member in all product design teams involving plastic parts to be made in Windom. Makes part design recommendations taking into account moldability. Secures and prepares tooling cost estimates to the design teams. Engineering Documentation: Establish and maintain routings and standards files for all plastic parts. Document and maintain files detailing history and inventory status of all tooling and processes. Equipment Maintenance: Works with the Fabrication Project Eng on initiating, justifying, and implementing new or replacement equipment and processes. Performs special projects as assigned by the Fabrication Manager. Technical Support: Interfaces with staff and engineering to assist and troubleshoot tool and process issues.  Serves as primary contact for all customers supplied by our department. Initiates DFSs if necessary. Stays informed of new technology related to our operation. Safety: Insures that all safety rules and programs are followed and maintained.  Trains employees in Safety Rules and Procedures.  Regularly conducts Safety and Right-to-know training required by OSHA - AWAIR.  Responsible for proper ergonomic work station set up, processes, and tooling.  Conducts an accident investigation with the Fabrication Manager at the site of the incident.  Makes reasonable efforts to accommodate the employee back into original work area and assist on proper assignment. Job Dimensions: Directly supervises hourly Quality Technician staff on all three work shifts.  Responsible for initiating, justifying, and implementing tooling, new equipment, processes and procedures.  Works closely with T&D, maintenance, QC and production to troubleshoot process, equipment, or tooling problems.  Interacts with all Windom location personnel and with personnel at other Company facilities and outside vendor sources in regards to technical related issues.
