RACELAND'S ROBBINS SIGNS WITH SSU
Raceland High School’s O’Brien Robbins has signed a letter of intent to continue her tennis career at Shawnee State University.

Robbins was a three-year letter winner in tennis at Raceland.  She lettered six times in golf where she was a state qualifier all six years, placing 4th in the state as a junior.  She was twice the EKC Champion and was named to the all-regional golf times three times.  Robbins also participated in basketball where she earned three varsity letters.

“I bleed blue and gray! I hope to bring lots of energy and enthusiasm to the team,” says Robbins of joining the Bears’ squad.
 

SSU SIGNS WESTERN BROWN’S ASHLEY FISCHER
Western Brown High School’s Ashley Fischer has signed a letter of intent to play tennis at Shawnee State.

Fischer is a four-year letter winner in tennis at Western Brown.  She earned 1st Team all-conference honors as well as being named Team MVP three times and was named Conference Player of the Year as a junior.  She holds the career wins record and season wins record at Western Brown.

Fischer also lettered four times in basketball and softball and twice in soccer during her high school career.  In basketball she earned 1st team all-league honors twice and was named 2nd team once.

While attending Shawnee State Fischer will be studying Dental Hygiene.

 
HUNTINGTON'S O'NEILL SIGNS WITH SSU
Huntington High School's Ashley O'Neill has signed a letter of intent to continue her tennis career at
Shawnee State University.  Ashley is a four-year letter winner in tennis at Huntington.  She accumulated a record of 18-2 as a junior.  She also letter once in basketball.

O'Neill will be an asset to the team as Shawnee State graduates three off of the 2009 team.  "I intend on achieving big things my freshman season," says O'Neill.  "I hope to bring a lot to the team and help make this team stronger."

While at Shawnee State, Ashley will major in Exercise Science.
