DR. WILLIAM E. DAEHLER TENNIS CENTER OPENED
The Dr. William E. Daehler Tennis Center was formally opened on Sunday, October 26. Dr. Daehler and his wife pledge the money to the Pledge for Tomorrow Campaign.  The Tennis Center has six state-of-the-art outdoor courts and is located on campus on the corner of Union and Second Street.  

"For the first time during my tenure at Shawnee State University we have home tennis courts," said Athletic Director Jeff Hamilton.  "I can't thank Dr. Daehler enough for his passion and dedication to seeing this project through.  It's a beautiful day to open this Tennis Center and it is great to see such a turnout on the Shawnee State campus." 

Head Tennis Coach and the Shawnee State Tennis Team held a free clinic after the opening ceremony, where many area children came and participated.  Also, the courts were open for anyone who wanted to play after the ceremony.

The Dr. William E. Daehler Tennis Center will be home to eight to 10 Shawnee State home matches every year.
