April 23 @ Otterbein
Shawnee State closed out the 2005 season with a 9-0 loss at Otterbein College.  Natalie Gill lost #1 singles 8-5 in the day's closest match.  Amy Markley lost #3 singles 8-4, and Jen Cummins lost $2 singles 8-3.  Jen Cummins and Natalie Gill had several chances in #1 doubles before falling 8-3.
 
April 19 @ Cedarville

Shawnee State lost to Cedarville University 9-0.  The closest matches were #1 singles Natalie Gill 6-2, 7-5 and #6 singles Kate McCarty’s match at 6-1, 6-2. The #3 doubles team of Amy Markley and Niky Eveland lost 8-1 in a match that was much closer than indicated by the score. 

  
April 17 vs. Central State

Shawnee State defeated Central State University 9-0 for its first win of the season.  Natalie Gill, Elizabeth Schultz, Ashley Fender, Kate McCarty, Beth Eichelberger, and Emily Smith all won singles matches for the Bears.  Doubles teams of Jen Cummins and Andrea Rader, Beth Eichelberger and Emily Smith, and Ashley Fender and Elizabeth Schultz were victorious.

 
April 9 vs. Walsh

Shawnee State lost an American Mideast Conference match to Walsh University 8-1.   Jen Cummins won #2 singles for the Bears.  She defeated Megan Navarre 6-4, 7-5.  Despite what appeared to be lopsided scores, the remaining matches were relatively close with many of the games going to deuce.  Shawnee State, however, was unable to pull out many of those games. 

 
April 5 @ Ohio Dominican
Shawnee State lost to Ohio Dominican 9-0.  Natalie Gill lost to Angie Pena in #1 singles 6-2, 6-2 and Andrea Rader lost to Ashley Lowe 6-2, 6-2 in #6 singles.  No other Bear won more than 1 game in her singles match.  Jen Cummins and Andrea Rader lost to Monica Ramey and Kelly Zunkiewicz 8-4 in #3 doubles. 
 
April 3 vs. Tiffin
Shawnee State's struggles continued as the Bears lost to Tiffin University 8-1.  Amy Markley defeated Faith Greenwalt 4-6 7-6 (11-9) in #3 singles for the Bears' only win on the day.  Shawnee State had chances in Natalie Gill's #1 singles match and in Jennifer Cummins' #2 singles match.
 
March 31 vs. Wilmington
Shawnee State lost to Wilmington College 9-0.  The closest matches of the day came in #2 and #3 singles.  Jen Cummins lost to Megan Stiltner 7-5, 4-6 (10-4) in #2 singles.  Christina Marshall defeated Amy Markley 6-1, 7-5 in #3 singles.  Jen Cummins and Elizabeth Schultz lost #2 doubles to Christina Marshall and Jennifer Patrick 8-3.
  
March 28 @ Malone

Shawnee State lost its AMC opener to Malone College 8-1.  Natalie Gill was the lone bright spot for the Bears as she won #1 singles 6-4, 6-3.  Jen Cummins, Amy Markley, Elizabeth Schultz, Amy Richardson, and Andrea Rader lost #2-6 singles respectively.  The #3 doubles match was the most competitive of the day.  Elizabeth Schultz and Ashley Fender lost to Laura Wenger and Erin Martin 8-4.

 
February 26 vs. Thomas More College
Shawnee State lost its season opener to Thomas More College 6-3.  Natalie Gill defeated Elaine Kelleher 6-3, 6-4 for the Bears' only singles victory.  Gill and Amy Richardson came from behind to defeat Kelleher and Whitney Reis 9-8 in number 1 doubles.  Jen Cummins and Amy Markley defeated Lauren Pederson and Alma Murga 9-8 in number 2 doubles.  Elizabeth Schultz and Ashly Fender came up short against Amanda Matracia and Emily Prescott 8-6.
