April 27 @ Carlow
Shawnee State defeated Carlow College 8 matches to 1.  Andria Smalley, Amanda Holbrook, Becky Holden, Rachel Smalley, and Angel Ross all picked up singles victories.  Double tandems of Holbrook and Holden, Smalley and Smalley, and Ross and Andrea Gilliam all won matches for the Bears.
 
April 26 @ Geneva
Shawnee State defeated Geneva College 8-1.  The Bears picked up singles victories from Andria Smalley, Amanda Holbrook, Becky Holden, Doris Staler, and Rachel Smalley.  The doubles teams of Holbrook/Holden, Smalley/Smalley, and Angel Ross/Staler also picked up wins.
 
April 25 @ Notre Dame
Shawnee State defeated Notre Dame College by a score of 8 to 1.  Amanda Holbrook, Becky Holden, Doris Staler, Rachel Smalley, and Andrea Gilliam won matches for SSU.  The doubles teams of Holden/Holbrook, Smalley/Smalley, and Gilliam/Angel Ross won matches as well.
 
April 16 vs. Cedarville
Shawnee State closed out their 2002 home schedule with a 9-0 loss to Cedarville University.  The defending American Mideast Conference Champions had no trouble with the Bears, as they did not lose a set on the day.
 
April 11 vs. Roberts Wesleyan
Shawnee State defeated Roberts Wesleyan College in American Mideast Conference play on Friday morning six matches to three.  Andria Smalley, Amanda Holbrook, Becky Holden, and Andrea Gilliam all won singles matches for SSU.  The Bears' doubles teams of Amanda Holbrook/Becky Holden and Rachel Smalley/Andria Smalley were also victorious.  Shawnee State was forced to forfeit one singles match and one doubles match because of no-shows and injuries.
 
April 10 vs. Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican defeated Shawnee State 7 matches to 2.  Becky Holden was the lone victor in singles play.  She won her match when her opponent, Missy Paluga, had to withdraw.  The match was tied at one set apiece at the time.  The doubles tandem of Amanda Holbrook and Andria Smalley defeated Becca Kane and Sarah Wheeler 8-4.
 
April 6 vs. Seton Hill
Shawnee State defeated Seton Hill College 8 matches to 1.  SSU nearly swept the matches, but Andria Smalley had to withdraw from her match after falling and receiving a minor concussion.  Stephanie Born,  Amanda Holbrook, Becky Holden, Rachel Smalley, and Jessica Cooper all won singles matches for the Bears.  Doubles teams of Holbrook/Holden, Smalley/Smalley, and Angel Ross/Andrea Gilliam posted wins as well. 
 
April 4 @ Tiffin
Shawnee State (0-3) lost to Tiffin 4 matches to 5 to remain winless on the season.  Andria Smalley and Becky Holden won singles matches for the Bears.  The doubles squads of Amanda Holbrook/Becky Holden and Andria Smalley/Rachel Smalley also won their matches. 
 
March 23 @ Malone College
Playing without regulars Becky Holden and Andria Smalley, Shawnee State fell to Malone College 9-0.  The Bears failed to win a set, but were close in several matches.
 
March 22 @ Walsh University
Shawnee State fell to defending NAIA Region IX champ, Walsh University, 9-0 to open the 2002 season.  Shawnee State was clearly outgunned as they managed to win just 13 games on the day.
