2009 Season -- Sam
started in all but one games in her final season as a Bears.
She tallied 101 saves on the season. Sam broke many of SSU
records including season records of goals against average (1.15) and
wins (11) this season. She finishes her career at Shawnee
State with career records of goals against average (1.59), shutouts
(19), and wins (32). Sam was named 1st Team All-AMC.
2008 Season -- Sam
earned ALL-AMC honors for the third time during her
career. Sam recorded her 22nd win of her career and
holds the record for goalie wins in a career. She
recorded a season-high 20 saves in a 4-0 loss to Mt.
Vernon. Along with 1st Team All-AMC honors, Sam also
received 1st Team All-Ohio and 1st Team NAIA
All-Region.
2007 Season -- Sam started in
all but one game as a sophomore. She tied her
own record with wins in a season with eight. She recorded a season-high 21 saves in a 3-0 loss to
Ohio Dominican. Sam earned 2nd Team All-AMC
recognition.
2006 Season --
Sam started in goal all
17 games as a freshman. She broke the record with
wins in a season with eight and shut-outs in a
season with six. She recorded a career-high 25
saves in the Bears 3-1 loss to Ohio Dominican on
October 14. She earned honorable mention All-AMC
honors.
Turpin High School --
Sam lettered 3 times in soccer at Turpin High School.
She earned 1st team All-FAVC honors.
