Shawnee State knocked off NAIA #20 ranked Notre Dame College 2-1 to close out the season. NDC’s Ashley Rucker scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Anic McKay in the 24th minute of the first half.  Katherine Westendorf tied the game with a goal, assisted from Cindi Hay and Courtney Moore at the 84:27 mark of the game.  Westendorf then found the back of the net again 1:22 later to give the Bears the 2-1 advantage and the victory. Shawnee State was outshot 13-4 on goal.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 12 saves in the game.  NDC’s Emilie Lamarche tallied 2 saves in the contest. “This was a great way to end the season,” said Head Coach Rob Appell.  “We had a solid team effort for 90 minutes and got the results we were looking for to knock off the American Mideast Conference leaders.”  [Box Score]

 
October 27 @ Asbury

Shawnee State lost to Asbury Collge 3-0. Shawnee State was out shot 21 to 7 in the game.  Shawnee State's Sam Rolsen recorded 13 saves in the game.  AC's Laura Calkins recorded 4 saves in the contest. [Box Score]

 
October 21 vs. Malone

Shawnee State fell 2-1 to Malone University Malone’s Aleesha Denmeade scored the first goal of the game unassisted in the 19th minute of play.  SSU’s Lizzie Simpson tied the game in the 19th minute on assists from Kelley Bowles and Bailey Hill.  Denmeade scored her second goal of the game on an assist from Susanna Jonkka to give the Pioneers the win. Malone outshot Shawnee State 8 shots on goal to 6.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 6 saves in the game, while Malone’s Merisa Salazar tallied 5 saves. October 18 vs. Roberts Wesleyan

Shawnee State lost to Roberts Wesleyan College 1-0 in conference play. Laura Willit had the only goal (unassisted) of the game to give the Raiders the win. Shawneee State was out shot 19-7 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 5 saves in the game.  RWC’s Elizabeth Kennedy recorded 3 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
October 17 vs. Houghton

Shawnee State lost to NAIA #24 ranked Houghton College 6-0 in conference action.  Shawnee State was outshot 17-4 in the game.  Shawnee State’s Sam Rolsen recorded 5 saves in the game.  Houghton’s Erin Asquith recorded 1 save. [Box Score]

 
October 11 @ Daemen

Shawnee State tallied a goal to collect a 1-1 draw at Daemen.  Shawnee State's Danielle Morgan scored the first goal of the game unassisted in the 66th minute of play.  Daemen's Jessica Hutton tied the game on a goal unassisted with 20 minutes to go in regulation.  Each team was unable to score again in two-overtimes to collect the final 1-1 draw.  The Bears were outshot 20-7 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen tallied 13 saves in 110 minutes in goal.  DC's Joanna Daugenti recorded 3 saves in 110 minutes in goal.  [Box Score]

 
October 7 vs. Rio Grande

Shawnee State shut out the University of Rio Grande 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon.  Shawnee State improves to 5-5-1 overall and 2-4-1 in the AMC.  Rio Grande falls to 3-8-2 overall and 1-5-2 in the AMC.

Kelley Bowles scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Savoeung Ien in the 21st minute of play.  The Bears found the net again a minute later with a goal by Katherine Westendorf on an assist from Danielle Morgan to tally the score at 2-0 at the half.  Bowles scored again in the 67th minute of play on an assist from Courtney Moore.  Shawnee State out shot the Red Storm 22-8 in the game.  Shawnee State’s Sam Rolsen recorded her fifth shutout of the season and tallied 3 saves in the game.  Rio Grande’s Sarah Sandlin tallied 10 saves in the game.  [Box Score]

 
October 4 @ Point Park

The Bears tied 2-2 in 2 overtimes at Point Park.  Cindi Hay scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Katherine Westendorf at the 32:00 mark of the game.  Point Park's Angela Olivieri scored two goals to give the advantage to Point Park.  Her first goal was on an assist from Melissa Redman in the 58th minute of the play and her second was on an assist from Lauren Evans in the 63th minute of the play.  Courtney Moore scored the game-tying goal on an assist from Bailey Hill in the 83rd minute of play.  Shawnee State was out shot 19-13 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen tallied 8 saves, while PPU's Emily Tomalewski tallied 4 saves. October 3 @ Carlow

Kelley Bowles scored the only goal of the game to give the Bears the 1-0 victory over Carlow.  Shawnee State was out shot 12-7 in the game.  Shawnee State's Sam Rolsen recorded 8 saves in the game.  [Box Score]

 
September 30 @ Cedarville

Shawnee State lost to Cedarville 3-0.  Kelly Wise tallied 2 goals and Kelsey Watkins scored another goal to give the Yellow Jackets the 3-0 victory.  Shawnee State was outshot 22-7 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen recorded 10 saves in the 90 minutes in goal.  CU's Brianne Barnes tallied 2 saves in 90 minutes in goal.  [Box Score]

 
September 27 @ Mt. Vernon

Shawnee State lost to Mount Vernon Nazarene University 4-0. Shawnee State was outshot 30-4 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 20 saves in the contest. [Box Score

 
September 23 @ Kentucky Christian

Shawnee State shutout Kentucky Christian 8-0 . Kelley Bowles scored the first goal (unassisted) for the Bears in the 18th minute of play.  Danielle Morgan scored on an assist from Staci White in the 23rd minute of action.  In the 37th minute of play, Lizzie Simpson scored a goal on an assist from White.  Bowles scored her second goal of the game on an assist from Morgan in the 41st minute of play to give the Bear the 4-0 advantage at the half. Cindi Hay opened up the second half with a goal on an assist from Bowles in the 54th minute of action.  Bailey Hill scored a goal on an assist from Hay in the 63rd minute of play.  In the 68th minute of play, Maria Hartke scored a goal on assists from Hill and Hay.  Ali Tomazic scored in the 69th minute on an assist from Bowles. September 19 @ Ohio Dominican

September 16 vs. Mountain State

Shawnee State outshot Mountain State 28-6 in the game but could not manage to find the goal as the Bears fell   1-0.  MSU’s Erica Alderman scored the only goal of the game in the 11th minute of play. SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 3 saves in the game.  MSU’s Christina Baker tallied 16 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
September 13 @ Walsh

Shawnee State lost to Walsh 6-2.  Katherine Westendorf scored SSU's first goal of the game on assists from Bailey Hill and Danielle Morgan in the 33rd minute of play.  Kelley Bowles scored the Bears' other game on an assist from Cindi Hay in the 68th minute of play.  SSU's Sam Rolsen tallied 11 saves in the game. September 9 @ Ohio Valley

Shawnee State got a shutout on the road against Ohio Valley as the Bears defeated OVU 5-0. Danielle Morgan scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Kelley Bowles in the 11th minute of play.  Bowles scored the Bears second goal on an assist from Courtney Moore in the game’s 25th minute.  Shawnee State scored in the 33rd minute of play on a goal by Cindi Hay (assisted by Maria-Elana Kennedy) to put the Bears up 3-0 at the half.  Maria Hartke scored on assists by Bowles and Hay in the 56th minute of play.  Morgan scored her second goal of the game (unassisted) in the 62nd minute of play to give the Bears the 5-0 victory. The Bears outshot Ohio Valley 22-6 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded the shutout for the Bears as she tallied 4 saves in the game.  Rolsen now holds SSU Career Record for Shutouts with 14. [Box Score] “We played pretty well getting our second victory and shutout of the season.  This win gives us the confidence we need to go to Canton and play Walsh,” said Head Coach Rob Appell.   

 
September 3 vs. West Virginia Tech

Shawnee State shutout West Virginia Tech 4-0 in their season opener Shawnee State’s Bailey Hill scored the first goal of the game in the 3rd minute of play on an assist from Danielle Morgan.  Kelley Bowles scored the Bears’ second goal on a penalty kick in the 38th minute of play.  Cindi Hay scored the third goal (unassisted) in the 49th minute of play.  SSU’s final goal came in the 73rd minute of play on a goal from Maris Hartke (unassisted).  Shawnee State outshot West Virginia Tech 22-2 in the game.  Sam Rolsen recorded 2 saves in the game for the Bears.  West Virginia Tech’s Andrea Arias tallied 9 saves in the game.
