October 24 vs. Urbana

Shawnee State lost to Urbana University 3-0.  Shawnee State was out shot 20-8 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 13 saves in the game.  UU’s Liz Markley recorded 6 saves in the game.  Shawnee State completes the season with the best record in school history.

 
October 21 vs. Berea

Shawnee State recorded its 7th shutout of the season with a 2-0 win over Berea College and needs just one more win to guarantee its first winning season in school history.  Shawnee State's first goal came from Sarah Koehler at 22:43.  It was her 22nd of the season.  Koehler assisted Lana Kaucher's goal at 31:06.  The assists was the 11th of the season for Koehler and sets a Shawnee State record for assists in a a season.  Sam Rolsen recorded her 6th shutout of the season in goal.  [Box Score]

 
October 16 @ Pikeville

Shawnee State snapped a two-game losing skid with a 10-0 whipping of Pikeville College.  Shawnee State's Sarah Koehler scored her first of three goals in the game's 10th minute on an assist from Lacie Abella.  Senior sweeper Amanda Plotts scored the first goal of her career on an assist from Kelly Hatas just two minutes later.  Hatas would add two more assists and a goal in the contest.  Savoeung Ien added a pair goals as well.  Sam Rolsen worked the entire game in goal to record her fifth shut out of the season. October 14 vs. Ohio Dominican

Shawnee State lost to Ohio Dominican 3-1.  Shawnee State took an early lead when Kelly Hatas scored a goal on an assist from Sarah Koehler just two minutes into the game.  Ohio Dominican tied the game when Morgan Gatwood scored unassisted in the 53rd minute of play.  ODU took the lead at the 84:13 mark of the game on a goal by Briana Coddington.  Coddington scored on an assist from Morgan Gatwood.  ODU’s Barb Mansfield scored again in the 85th minute of play to give Ohio Dominican the 3-1 win.  Ohio Dominican out shot Shawnee State 46-6 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen had a career-high 25 saves in the game.  ODU’s Krissi Sparks had 2 saves in the game. October 8 vs. Spalding

Shawnee State lost to Spalding 2-1SSU’s Lana Kaucher scored the only goal of the first period on an assist by Kelly Hatas in the 14th minute of play.  Spalding’s Veronica Jones scored an unassisted goal in the 58th minute of play to tie the game.  Spalding took the lead when Kari Clark scored unassisted at the 67 minute mark of the game.  Shawnee State was out shot 21-7 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 6 saves in the game. October 6 @ Cedarville
Shawnee State tied with Cedarville 0-0.  Cedarville outshot the Bears 22-2 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen had 12 saves in the game.  Cedarville's Brianne Carnes had 1 save in the game. [Box Score]
 
September 30 @ Tiffin

Shawnee State lost to Tiffin University by a score of 8-0.  Tiffin jumped out early with a goal by Rachel Garofolo in the 11th minute.  The Dragons went on a scoring frenzy with 6 goals in 16 minutes from the 26th minute to the 42nd minute of the first half.  Sam Rolsen recorded 16 saves for the Bears.  Tiffin out shot Shawnee State 26 – 1 in the match. [Box Score]

 
September 27 vs. Rio Grande

Shawnee State whipped the University of Rio Grande by a score of 5-1 at Valley High School.  Shawnee State held a 3-1 lead at the half thanks to three goals in a 10 minute span.  Sarah Koehler scored 2 of the goals and assisted on a goal by Staci White.  Lacy Simpson scored just 32 seconds into the second half on an assist from White.  Koehler added her 3rd goal of the match on an assist from Simpson at 49:41.  Sam Rolsen recorded 3 saves in the contest.  Beth Hofaman scored an unassisted goal in the 36th minute for Rio Grande's only score. September 24 @ Hiram

Shawnee State tied with Hiram 1-1. Sarah Koehler scored Shawnee State's only goal in the 52nd minute of play on an assist from Kelly Hatas.  Hiram out shot the Bears 22-7 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen recorded 13 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
September 23 @ Malone

Shawnee State lost to Malone 4-0 on Saturday afternoon.  Malone out shot the Bears 23-2 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 19 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
September 20 @ Mt. Vernon

Shawnee State lost to Mt. Vernon 4-1 on Wednesday afternoon.  Sarah Koehler scored the only for the Bears.  It came in the 12th minute of play on an assist by Courtney Moore.  Koehler, who held the record for goals in a season, broke her own record with her 14th goal of the season.  Mt. Vernon had 22 shots on goal compared to Shawnee State's 1.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 13 saves in the game. [Box Score]

 
September 16 vs. Walsh

Shawnee State Women’s Soccer Team defeated Walsh University 1-0 to open AMC play.  This is the first time in school history SSU had beaten Walsh.  Sarah Koehler scored the only goal of the game in the 50th minute of play.  Walsh out shot Shawnee State 22-5 in the game.  SSU’s Sam Rolsen recorded 13 saves in the game.  Walsh’s Rachel Burcher tallied 3 saves. September 15 vs. Kentucky Christian

Shawnee State shutout Kentucky Christian University 8-0.  Lana Kaucher scored 3 goals and had 2 assists to lead the Bears.  Sarah Koehler had 2 goals and 2 assists and Staci White added 2 goals in the game.  Amy Crain tallied 1 goal and 1 assist.  Shawnee State out shot the KCU 33-1 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen had 1 save.  KCU's Kendall Scott tallied 11 saves. September 12 @ Berea

Shawnee State, off to its best start in program history, suffered its first defeat of the season in a 1-0 setback to Berea College.  Berea's Maureen Kluesener headed in a corner kick from Miranda Robinson in the match's 40th minute.  Berea out shot Shawnee State 24-10 in the match.  SSU's Sam Rolsen recorded 12 saves in goal. September 9 vs. Pikeville

Shawnee State gets its second shutout of the season with a 17-0 win over Pikeville College.  Sarah Koehler and her record-breaking performance led the Bears to their victory.  Koehler, tied Shawnee State’s Women Soccer records of goals in a game with 5 and assists in a game with 4.  She also broke the record for points in a game with 14.  Lana Kaucher also had an impressive game scoring 4 goals with 1 assist, while Courtney Moore scored 2 goals and tallied 2 assists.  Kristi Jarrell and Staci White each had a goal.  Amy Crain, Ashley Fender, Amanda Jay each tallied an assist in the game.  The Bears out shot Pikeville 57-0 in the game.  Pikeville’s Amber Webb had 17 saves in the game. September 8 vs. Brescia

Shawnee State defeated Brescia University.  Shawnee State's Lana Kaucher scored the first goal of the game at 1:34 in the first half.  Courtney Moore score the second goal of the half for the Bears at 16:19.  Brescia's only goal of the first half came on a direct kick by McKenzie Stone at 19:08. Shawnee State's Sarah Koehler scored just 39 seconds into the second period and again at the 63:10 mark to put the Bears up 4-1.  Brescia would score again on a penalty kick by Chelsea Anderson to tally the final score at 4-2. Shawnee State out shot Brescia 24-17 in the game.  SSU's Sam Rolsen (2-0) recorded 11 saves.  Brescia's Sarah Poole recorded 9 saves in the match. [Box Score]

 
August 29 vs. Ohio Valley
Shawnee State opened the season with a 9-0 shutout of Ohio Valley University.  Sarah Koehler tallied 3 goals and an assist in the match.  Kelly Hatas had 2 goals and 2 assists.  Lana Kaucher, Amy Crain, Courtney Moore, and Beth Eichelberger had one goal apiece.  Kaucher and Moore each tallied an assist.  SSU keeper, Sam Rolsen, recorded the shutout in her first collegiate match.
