October 29 vs. Hiram

Shawnee State lost to Hiram College 3-2.  Hiram’s Lauren Manfrass scored the first goal of the game at 18:49 in the first half on an assist from Megan Crum.  Kristi Jarrell tied the match on an assist from Kelly Hatas at 30:07 and the match went to the half tied at one.  Manfrass scored just 2:23 into the second period on a ball that ricocheted off of goalie Ashley Fender.  Sarah Koehler scored 10:21 into the period on an another assist from Hatas.  Manfrass completed the hat trick just 2:15 seconds into the over time period to give Hiram the win.

 
October 22 vs. Cedarville

Shawnee State lost to Cedarville University 3-0.  Cedarville out shot the Bears 27-5 in the game.  SSU's Ashley Fender recorded 17 saves.  Cedarville's Sarah Gibson recorded 3 saves. 

 
October 18 vs. Malone

Shawnee State lost to Malone College 4-1.  Malone’s Julie Herbst scored just seven minutes into the game to give Malone the 1-0 lead.  Sarah Koehler tied the match on her 12th goal of the season at 12:53.  The match went to the half tied at one.   Malone’s Abbie Zippert scored on an assist from Julie Herbst just three minutes into the second half.  Herbst scored goals at 55:02 and 60:55 for the final tally of 4-1.

 
October 15 vs. Tiffin

Shawnee State lost to Tiffin University 8-0. Shawnee State was out shot 32-3 in the game.  Ashley Fender recorded 16 saves. 

 
October 9 @ Ohio Dominican

Shawnee State lost to Ohio Dominican 9-0.  Shawnee State managed just 1 shot on goal in the match compared to 23 by Ohio Dominican.  Tara Walker gave up 8 goals while recording 11 saves in 79 minutes of action.  Ashley Fender gave up 1 goal and recorded 3 saves in 11 minutes.

 
October 7 @ Spalding

Shawnee State shut out Spalding University 4-0.  Sarah Koehler set a career-high as she scored all 4 of Shawnee State's goals.  The first came in the game's 25th minute on an assist from Amy Crain.  Katie Garrison assisted on the second at 37:00.  She added a third goal 3 minutes prior to the end of the half on an assist by Lacey Simpson.  Kelly Hatas assisted the fourth goal 15 minutes into the second half.  Ashley Fender recorded 10 saves in her first start in goal.  Shawnee State out shot Spalding 13-10.

 
September 28 @ Marietta

Shawnee State lost to Marietta College 2-0.  The Bears gave unbeaten Marietta a test with the game scoreless through 72 minutes.  Marietta’s Amanda Fishburn scored the first goal of the game on an assist from Allison Williams.  Marietta would score again with 4 minutes left in the game with a goal by Allison Williams on an assist by Jill Sorboro.  Marietta College out shot Shawnee State 19-8 in the game.  SSU’s Tara Walker recorded 8 saves. 

 
September 24 @ Muskingum
Shawnee State lost to Muskingum College 2-1.  Laura Anderson gave Muskingum a 1-0 lead on a penalty kick in the game’s 11th minute.  Natalie Bacon scored for Shawnee State on a free kick just a minute later.  The game remained tied at 1-1 until Sarah Reams scored with just 11 minutes to play.  Ashley Fender recorded 2 saves in her first career start in goal for the Bears.
 
September 23 @ Walsh

Shawnee State lost to Walsh University 9-0.  Walsh out shot Shawnee State 24-3 on the day.  Beth Eichelberger made her first career start in goal.  She recorded 11 saves on the afternoon.

 
September 20 vs. Kentucky Christian

Shawnee State defeated Kentucky Christian University 3-0.  Sarah Koehler recorded her second hat trick of the season.  Her first goal came on an assist from Amanda Jay just 7:43 into the match.  She scored an unassisted goal 7:37 into the second period.  Her final goal of the game came on an assist from Beth Eichelberger with just 10 minutes remaining in the game.  She also had 3 goals against Ohio Valley on September 15. Tara Walker picked up her second save of the season.  She recorded 2 saves on KCU’s only 2 shots of the match.  KCU’s Tabitha Weldy recorded 20 saves in the contest.  Shawnee State out shot Kentucky Christian 37-2. 

 
September 17 vs. Mount Vernon

Shawnee State lost to Mount Vernon Nazarene 4-1.  Shawnee State opened up the scoring with a goal by Amy Crain less than a minute into the game.  Kelly Sgambellone scored Mount Vernon’s first goal of the game at the 18:24 mark.  Mount Vernon out shot the Bears 28-9 in the contest.  SSU’s Tara Walker recorded 14 saves.

 
September 15 vs. Ohio Valley

Shawnee State posted its first shutout of the season with a 6-0 win over Ohio Valley University.  Shawnee State’s Sarah Koehler scored three goals and added an assist in the game.  She scored the game’s first goal at 15:41 and the second at 30:04.  Her assist came on the last goal of the game, a cross to Kelly Hatas at 62:02.  Hatas scored Shawnee State’s third goal at 41:25 on an assist from Natalie Bacon.  Amy Crain added a goal and three assists in the match. Shawnee State out shot Ohio Valley 52-2.  The Bears had 29 shots on goal in the game.   

 
September 11 @ Brescia

Shawnee State picked up its first victory of the season on with a 2-1 overtime win at Brescia University.  Kelly Hatas scored the first goal of the game on a direct kick with 2:50 to play in the first half.  Sarah Koehler scored on a break away in the overtime period to give the Bears the victory.  Tara Walker recorded 9 saves in the match for Shawnee State.

 
September 9 @ Campbellsville
Shawnee State lost 6-0 at Campbellsville University.  Campbellsville out shot Shawnee State 12-10.  Tara Walker recorded 7 saves in the loss.
 
September 7 @ Rio Grande

Shawnee State opened American Mideast Conference Play at Rio Grande.  Despite out shooting Rio Grande 22-9, Shawnee State lost the match 2-0.  Rio Grande’s goals came with 26:22 and 23:07 to play in the second period.  Shawnee State’s Beth Eichelberger recorded 7 saves in her first career start in goal.

 
September 4 @ Anderson
Shawnee State appeared to be headed for overtime against Anderson University before falling 1-0.  Anderson scored with just 2:58 to play in the game for the win.  Anderson out shot SSU 20-10.  Tara Walker recorded 10 saves. 
 

September 3 @ Grace

Shawnee State lost to Grace College by a score of 2-0.  Grace (1-2) scored with 25:49 to play in the first half and then again with 26:25 to play in the second half.  Grace out shot Shawnee State 25-6.  Tara Walker had 15 saves in the game.
