PLEASANT HIGH SCHOOL’S PELTIER TO SIGNS TO
RUN FOR SSU
Mishea Peltier of Pleasant High School has signed a letter
of intent to run cross country at Shawnee State University.
Peltier is a two-time Division III regional qualifier in
cross country. In 2008 she placed 38th overall
with a time of 21:35 and in placed 25th in 2007
with a time of 21:13. Peltier earned 2nd team
all-conference honors and 1st team all-district
honors twice. Her personal best in a 5K race is 20:19.
“Mishea has not run track in high school. She has been team
captain for the last two seasons at Pleasant High School in
cross country. I am hoping that with year around training,
Mishea can develop into a really strong college runner,”
states SSU Head Coach Eric Putnam.
Peltier will graduate valedictorian of her Pleasant High
School class.
