PLEASANT HIGH SCHOOL’S PELTIER TO SIGNS TO RUN FOR SSU
Mishea Peltier of Pleasant High School has signed a letter of intent to run cross country at Shawnee State University.

Peltier is a two-time Division III regional qualifier in cross country.  In 2008 she placed 38th overall with a time of 21:35 and in placed 25th in 2007 with a time of 21:13.  Peltier earned 2nd team all-conference honors and 1st team all-district honors twice.  Her personal best in a 5K race is 20:19.    

“Mishea has not run track in high school.  She has been team captain for the last two seasons at Pleasant High School in cross country.  I am hoping that with year around training, Mishea can develop into a really strong college runner,” states SSU Head Coach Eric Putnam.

Peltier will graduate valedictorian of her Pleasant High School class.

 

BEARS SIGN LOGAN HIGH SCHOOL'S TISHA GROVE
Logan High School’s Tisha Grove has signed a letter of intent to run cross country at Shawnee State University.  Grove is a four-year letter winner in cross country and track. 

Grove has earned all-league and all-district honors all four years at Logan High School.  She placed 44th at the Division I regional meet at Pickerington North with a time of 20:27.  This spring she broke Logan High School’s 3200 meter record with a time of 11:48. 

“We currently have two runners from Logan High School at Shawnee State; Corey Culbertson and Shane Meyer.  Both of them have done really well here and we are hoping that Tisha will do the same,” said Head Coach Eric Putnam.

While attending Shawnee State Tisha will be studying English.

 

NORTHWESTERN'S HOSIER TO RUN FOR THE BEARS
Springfield Northwestern High School’s Kasey Hosier has signed a letter of intent to continue her running career at Shawnee State University. 

Hosier is a four-time individual state qualifier for cross country in Division II.  As a freshman she placed 4th at the state meet with a time of 19:03, as a sophomore placed 18th with a time of 19:23, as a junior finished in a time of 19:54 for 46th place, and as a senior finished 28th in a time of 19:48.  She has also been a state qualifier in track and field in the 3200 meter run. 

“Kasey is one of the most accomplished runners that we have ever signed to run at Shawnee State,” Head Coach Eric Putnam said.  “I am thrilled that she will be running here in the fall. Kasey should be able to content for the team's top spot.”
