2008 Season -- Amanda had a successful freshman season. She was the 3rd fastest runner for the Bears earning 3rd Team All-AMC honors and also becoming SSU's 3rd fastest runner in school history. She had 2 top 10 finishes and 2 top 20 finishes as she ran all but one race in under 20:00. Amanda's career best came at the Ohio Invitational with a time of 18:45. She also became one of eight Shawnee State Women's Cross Country runners to make a National Championship Appearance finishing with a time of 19:00 flat.

Teays Valley High School -- Amanda earned one varsity letter in cross country at Teays Valley High School where she finished 25th at the Division I Regional in 2007. She earned 1st Team MSL and was a regional qualifier with a personal best time of 20:00. Amanda also earned four varsity letters in track and three varsity letters in basketball.
