The Shawnee State University Women's Cross Country Team
placed 4th out of 12 teams at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship
Meet. Fifth ranked Cedarville University won the event,
followed by Malone and Houghton. Lisa Davies paced the Bears
with a 5th place overall finish. She recorded a school-record
time of 18:11 and was named 1st Team All-American Mideast
Conference. Trisha Krueger placed 22nd in 19:27 and missed
all-conference selection by one place. Rachel Ditty was 33rd
in 20:10. Laura Liston (20:24) and Chelsea Fouch (20:40)
rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State. [Results] |

October 20 @ Southeastern Classic |
|
Shawnee State finished 5th
out of 22 teams at the Southeastern Classic in Nashville, TN. Cedarville University won the event, followed by
Malone College. Union College and King College finished 3rd
and 4th respectively. Lisa Davies won the 5k event in a time of 18:31.
It is her school-record 4th individual win of the season.
Trisha Krueger placed 22nd in 19:47. Laura Liston was 45th in
20:46. Chelsea Fouch (21:29) and Andrea Jackson (21:58)
rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State. [Results] |

October 12 @ Wilmington Classic |
|
Shawnee State finished 3rd out of 22 teams at the
Wilmington Fall Classic. Otterbein College won the event
followed by Franklin. Lisa Davies covered the 5k-course in
18:41 to capture the individual championship. It is her third
meet championship of the season. Trisha Krueger placed 10th in
19:39, her best showing of the season. Laura Liston recorded a
personal-best time of 20:45 to finish 41st. Chelse Fouch
finished 53rd in 21:07. Andrea Jackson ran 54th in a
personal-best time of 21:09. [Results]
"We had 5 runners set personal records today," said Coach Eric
Putnam. "Lisa continues to run extremely well and some of the
others are starting to catch up with her a bit. We have one
more prep, the Southeastern Classic, to get ready for the conference
championship meet." |

October 5 @ All-Ohio Meet |
|
Shawnee State finished 21st out of 44 teams at the
All-Ohio Meet. It was their highest ever finish at the meet.
Miami of Ohio won the event. Lisa Davies finished 6th overall
in a time of 18:51. Trisha Krueger ran 94th in 21:04.
Laura Liston (21:58), Chelsea Fouch (23:06), and Rachel Ditty
(23:19) rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State. [Results]
"Lisa is running incredibly right now," said Coach Eric Putnam.
"If I don't mess her up before then, I really like her chances at
the AMC meet. Some of our other runners are stepping up as
well. If we can continue to improve over the next couple of
weeks, I think we have a chance to surprise a team or two at the
conference championship." |

September 29 @ Loyola Invitational |
|
Shawnee State finished 18th of 19 teams at the Loyola
Invitational. Purdue University won the event. Lisa
Davies ran 11th overall in a time of 18:25 to lead the Bears.
Trisha Krueger ran 101st in 20:06. Laura Liston (21:04),
Chelsea Fouch (21:09), and Andrea Jackson (21:17) rounded out the
scoring for Shawnee State. [Results] "We were a little overmatched as a
team," said Coach Eric Putnam. "There were some very good
teams running today including NAIA 4th ranked Malone College and at
least 10 NCAA Division I teams. It is a testament to Lisa
Davies that she performed so well against very strong competition." |

September 15 @ Cedarville Invitational |
|
Shawnee State finished 6th of 19 teams at the
Cedarville University. Division I Miami University won the
event. Cedarville University, ranked 3rd in the NAIA, placed
second. Lisa Davies finished 3rd overall and 1st among NAIA
runners. She covered the 5k-course in 18:15, just two seconds
off the school-record. Trisha Krueger placed 32nd with a time
of 20:15. Laura Liston (20:52), Chelsea Fouch (20:56), and
Andrea Jackson (21:20) rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.

"Lisa is running like a machine right now," said Shawnee State coach
Eric Putnam. "We're also seeing improvement from the rest of
our runners. If we can continue that improvement, we may be
able to make a little noise before the end of the season." |

September 8 @ Walsh Invitational |
|
Shawnee State finished 3rd out of five teams at the
Walsh Invitational. John Carroll won the event followed by
Walsh. The Bears finished ahead of Ursuline and Notre Dame.
Lisa Davies won the event in a time of 18:37. It is the fourth
fastest time in SSU women's cross country history. Trisha
Krueger placed 5th in a time of 20:18. Laura Liston (21:34),
Andrea Jackson (21:48), and Chelsea Fouch (22:12) rounded out the
scoring for Shawnee State. [Results]
"Lisa continues to run extremely well," said SSU coach Eric Putnam.
"Trisha is also running well and as the season progresses, I expect
some of our freshman to step up and allow us to compete a bit

August 31 @ Shawnee State Invitational |
|
Shawnee State placed
second at their home invitational at Earl Thomas Conley Park. Cedarville University, ranked 3rd in the NAIA
won the six team event. Shawnee State's Lisa Davies won the individual time
with a course-record time of 18:18. However, Cedarville took
the next 8 places. Trisha Krueger placed 10th for Shawnee
State in 19:57. Laura Liston was 14th in 20:47. Chelsea
Fouch (21:22) and Andrea Jackson (21:27) rounded out the scoring for
