November 19 @ NAIA National Championship

Star Emmert set a school record and placed 20th at the NAIA National Championship Meet.  Competing in her second consecutive National Championship Meet, Emmert covered the 5k-course in a school record 18:13.  Emmert, a sophomore, becomes Shawnee State’s first ever All-American cross country runner.  Simon Frasier’s Julia Howard won the event in a time of 17:24.  Simon Frasier won the team event with an impressive score of 74. 

 
November 5 @ AMC/NAIA National Championship Meet
Shawnee State finished 4th at the AMC/NAIA Region IX Championship Meet.  It is the highest ever finish for the SSU women's team at the conference championship.  Star Emmert finished 3rd overall in a school record time of 18:24.  She becomes the first Shawnee State runner to earn 1st Team All-American Mideast Conference honors.  She also qualifies for her second consecutive NAIA National Championship Meet.  Trisha Krueger placed 14th overall in 19:19 and earned 2nd Team All-AMC recognition.  Candice Eagon tied her season-best time of 20:18 to run 30th overall.  Jennifer Liming recorded a season-best time of 20:41.  Amber Hosier rounded out the scoring with a time of 21:02.
 
October 22 @ Southeastern Classic

Shawnee State finished 8th out of 32 teams at the Southeastern Classic in Rome, GA.  Four of the seven teams ahead of Shawnee State are ranked in the NAIA Top 25.  Fourth ranked Cedarville won the event.  Star Emmert finished 7th overall as she set a Shawnee State record by covering the 5k-course in 18:37.  Trisha Krueger placed 20th overall.  Her time of 19:15 is the 5th fastest ever recorded by a Shawnee State runner.  Candice Eagon (20:40), Amber Hosier (20:54), and Kristyn Allen (21:03) rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.

 
October 14 @ Wilmington Fall Classic

Shawnee State finished 4th out of 18 teams at the Wilmington Fall Classic on Friday afternoon.  Anderson won the event followed by Otterbein and The University of the Cumberlands.  Star Emmert placed 4th overall with a time of 19:39, the eighth fastest ever by an SSU runner.  Trisha Krueger placed 13th in 20:23.  Candice Eagon was 23rd overall in a time of 21:00.  Kristyn Allen (21:39) and Ashley Meadows (21:46) rounded out the scoring as they finished 43rd and 45th respectively.

 
October 7 @ All-Ohio Meet
Shawnee State placed 15th out 36 non-NCAA Division I teams at the All-Ohio Meet.  The Bears were 24th out of 41 teams overall and 5th out of 10 teams in their division (NAIA and NCAA Division II schools).  Star Emmert placed 5th in her division and 39th overall.  Her time of 19:28 was the 4th fastest ever recorded by an SSU runner.  Trisha Krueger was 10th in the division and 64th overall with a time of 20:00.  Kristyn Allen covered the 5k-course in 21:27.  Ashley Meadows (21:44) and Amber Hosier (22:08) rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.  The University of Akron won the overall championship.  Cedarville University won the division.
 
October 1 @ Rio Grande Invitational

For the second straight year, Shawnee State finished 3rd in the Rio Grande Invitational.  NCAA Division II teams, Alderson Broaddus and the University of Charleston finished ahead of the Bears in the eight-team meet.  Star Emmert led the Bears with a 3rd place overall finish.  Emmert's time of 19:06 is the second fastest ever recorded by a Shawnee State runner.  Trisha Krueger covered the 5k-course in 19:40, the seventh fastest ever Shawnee State time.  Candice Eagon was 11th overall in 20:32 and Kristyn Allen was 13th in 20:57.  Amber Hosier's time of 21:35 was a personal-best and placed her 19th overall.  Ashley Meadows and Kaylene Baker rounded out the scoring as they each ran 21:49.

 
September 24 @ Greater Louisville Classic
Shawnee State finished 10th out of 32 non-NCAA Division I teams competing at the Greater Louisville Classic over the weekend.  Cedarville University was the top finishing non-DI school.  Ohio State was the overall champion.  The overall field featured 10 NCAA Division I teams and 4 teams ranked nationally in the NAIA.  Every single Shawnee State runner set a season personal best time at the meet.  Star Emmert became the first Shawnee State runner to break the 19 minute mark with a time of 18:55.  Trisha Krueger's time of 19:34 is the 4th fastest time in SSU history.  Candice Eagon covered the 5k-course in 20:18.  Kristyn Allen finished in 20:37.  Ashley Meadows (21:18), Kaylene Baker (21:38), and Jen Liming (21:43) rounded out the scoring for the Bears. 
 
September 17 @ Winthrop Invitational
Shawnee State placed second out of 13 teams at the Winthrop Invitational.  Milligan College won the event.  Star Emmert placed second with a time of 19:50.  Trisha Krueger was third in 19:56.  Candice Eagon finished seventh in 20:48.  Kristyn Allen (21:46) and Kaylene Baker (21:56) rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.  Amber Hosier placed 21st in 21:58 and Ashley Meadows was 22nd in 21:59.
 
September 10 @ Centre Invitational
Shawnee State placed 2nd out of 7 teams at the Centre College Invitational.  Shawnee State placed three women in the top 10.  Star Emmert paced the team with a 3rd place finish in a time of 19:40.  Trisha Krueger placed 4th overall in 20:09.  Candice Eagon was 7th in a time of 20:51.  Amber Hosier ran a career best time of 21:57 and placed 14th.  Kristyn Allen rounded out the scoring with a 17th place finish in 22:08.
 
September 2 @ SSU Invitational

Shawnee State placed 3rd out of 9 teams at the Shawnee State Invitational.  The Bears placed behind 8th ranked Cedarville University and NCAA Division II University of Charleston.  Star Emmert paced the Bears with a 3rd place overall finish.  She covered the 3-mile course in a time of 19:40, the 4th fastest time ever recorded in SSU women’s cross country history.  Trisha Krueger placed 13th overall in a time of 20:50.  Candice Eagon was 19th in 21:21.  Kristyn Allen (22:01) and Ashley Meadows (22:07) rounded out the scoring for Shawnee State.  Cedarville’s Samantha Maat won the event in a time of 19:14.
