Comment -- "Nekia
has come a long way (Texas) to be a running Bear. She
had a great high school career in X-C and track. A hard
worker, once she adjusts to the 3-mile distance she will be
one of our top runners this season!"
2004 Season -- Nekia managed to run 7
meets despite suffering an ankle injury early on in the
season. Her best time of the year (22:32) came at the
Rio Grande Invitational.
Garland High School -- In
addition to running cross country at Garland, Neki also ran
track and played volleyball and basketball. She was
team captain of both her cross country and track teams.
She earned all-district honors.
